A New Approach to Phonics - Level 2

PAT Level 2 extends ideas and activities introduced in PAT Level 1, providing more challenging work. Within the programme combinations of rimes are designed to train auditory discrimination and improve awareness of vowel sounds within words. More complex onsets (initial blends) are included.
 
Pupils should have experience of working with Level I before moving on to this level of work.  Assessments and placement information is included.
 
Suitable for children of 7 years and up, including secondary age pupils, the programme has been found to be of particular value to children with SPLD (Dyslexia).
